We are working toward a world where everyone has access to sustainable seafood.

Sustainable, responsibly produced seafood should not be a luxury item, available only to a few. It should be the norm.

At SFP, we work across the entire seafood value chain, from the world’s largest retailers to artisanal fishers, to find practical solutions to difficult problems. We have a proven reputation for collaboration and problem solving. We speak the hard truths and don’t shy away from controversy. But our only agenda is promoting sustainable seafood.

At a minimum, that means ensuring the recovery and continued productivity of fisheries and fish farms. But it also means protecting the ocean and coastal ecosystems where fish live, reducing impacts on vulnerable species and habitats, and ensuring that fishers and fishing communities can thrive.

To achieve these goals, we leverage the power of retailers, seafood buyers, and their supply chains to drive change in fisheries and aquaculture regions around the world. We bring industry together with NGOs, governments, fishers, and scientists, to find creative, collaborative solutions that work for everyone – industry, nature, and people.

Our VISION is one of healthy marine and aquatic ecosystems, where 100 percent of the world’s seafood is produced sustainably and responsibly.
Our MISSION is to engage seafood supply chains globally to rebuild depleted fish stocks, reduce the environmental impacts of fishing and fish farming, and ensure sustained economic opportunities for fishing communities worldwide.
