SFP Chief Executive Officer Jim Cannon participated in the conference’s opening session. He presented on “Future proofing feed to protect nature and promote climate-change resilience” and then participated in a panel discussion on “The Role of Marine Ingredients in Feeding the World.”
Cannon and SFP Aquaculture Information Manager Paul Bulcock participated in a side event hosted by the Global Roundtable on Marine Ingredients, on “How can fishery management and viable value chains contribute to improved food security?” They also offered a demonstration of SFP’s new Feed Solutions Toolkit.
The annual conference of IFFO-The Marine Ingredients Organisation gathers 400 representatives from the marine ingredients value chain to discuss sustainability, technical and regulatory issues, and market updates.
The conference took place from October 21-23 in Lisbon, Portugal.
