What is it?

The Sustainable Farming Assurance Programme (SFAP) helps companies in the feed and food industry source commodities responsibly, ensuring they’re free from deforestation and have a low carbon footprint.

SFAP offers verified, cost-effective solutions applicable to all arable crops worldwide. It’s endorsed by the FEFAC 2021 soy sourcing guidelines and is being benchmarked against the 2023 version.

SFAP covers various areas including legal compliance, human rights, environmental protection, community relations, and biodiversity.

It provides a non-conversion module and CO2 statement, collaborating with Blonk Consultants and Control Union to ensure high-quality carbon footprint data. GFLI and Blonk’s Agri footprint recognize SFAP’s carbon data as approved and verified.

The Sustainable Farming Assurance Programme offers a solid solution for deforestation and conversion-free (DCF) crops. In addition, SFAP helps companies to lower the carbon footprint of their ingredients via the SFAP CO2 statement.
