Launched in 2016, FisheryProgress.org is a one-stop shop for information on the progress of global fishery improvement projects. It makes tracking progress more efficient, consistent, and reliable for businesses that support fishery improvement projects.
What is a FIP?
A Fishery Improvement Project (FIP) is a multi-stakeholder effort to address environmental or social challenges in a fishery. These projects harness the power of the private sector to incentivize positive changes toward sustainability. Suppliers, retailers, and food service companies can support the efforts of their source fisheries by participating in or buying products from FIPs.
FisheryProgress.org provides a public platform for reporting on FIP progress and achievements and also provides guidance and templates to support this.
