Crossing the Chasm: Supply Chain Roundtables and innovation
SFP’s Supply Chain Roundtables help bridge the gap between innovation and widespread industry adoption of best practices.
Although there has been an explosion of innovation in sustainable seafood over the last 20 years, there has not been widespread adoption of these innovations across seafood supply chains. This presents a problem for the seafood industry and a challenge to SFP’s goal of 100-percent sustainable seafood.
SFP’s Supply Chain Roundtables (SRs) focus on bridging this gap and engaging the broader industry. The SR model recognizes and addresses the different motivations and needs of the majority of seafood companies trying to incorporate more sustainable practices into their business.
“Crossing the Chasm,” a four-part series by Seafood Source Contributing Editor Ned Daly, features interviews with key SR players about how they are pushing for wider adoption of sustainable practices in the global seafood industry.
