The World Small-Scale Fisheries Conference will take place April 27-May 1, 2026, in Hua Hin, Thailand. This year’s theme is “Small-scale fisheries for advancing just harmony, young futures, and regenerative wisdom.”

Jointly sponsored by SFP, FAO, and SEAFDEC, this session will highlight how sub-regional cooperation, ecosystem approaches to fisheries (EAF), and market/value-chain incentives can jointly strengthen the sustainability of small-scale fisheries in the Gulf of Thailand and Bay of Bengal. SFP Fisheries Governance & Livelihoods Director Pedro Ferreiro will be a speaker at the session.
