Hi Seafood Metrics Customers!

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic updates to the customer side of Seafood Metrics – your go-to platform for monitoring and evaluating your seafood sourcing. Whether you’re a long-time user on the platform or just getting started, these new features are designed to make your experience smoother and more insightful. Let’s dive into what’s new!

New Filter Fields on the Commitment Tracker Page

The Commitment Tracker feature is exclusively available to companies using the Customer Interface of Seafood Metrics. This feature is not accessible to supplier account users who report seafood sourcing data through Seafood Metrics at the request of their customers.

We understand the importance of focusing on the most relevant metrics (it’s in our name after all). That’s why we’ve added brand-new filter fields to our Commitment Tracker page, to help you hone in on exactly what you need:

  • Harvest Method: Wild or farmed, you choose
  • Species Name: Find specific species with ease
  • Sustainability Standard: Filter by reported certifications or by FIP progress ratings.

Plus, if your system setup supports it, you can filter within your company’s unique category fields (like Department or UPC codes). With these new filters, pinpointing the exact information you need has never been easier. More details at your fingertips mean smarter sourcing decisions.

Wild Sourcing Transparency with FishSource Scores

Our Supplier Risk Report Wild Sourcing page just got a major upgrade. You can now toggle the “FS Scores” on or off to view FishSource scores directly on the page. These scores provide a simplified, yet comprehensive, look at the sustainability and environmental impact of fisheries, broken down into:

Management Quality
  1. Management strategy
  2. Managers’ compliance
  3. Fishers’ compliance
Stock Health

4. Current health

5. Future health

Environment & Biodiversity
  1. Bycatch
  2. Endangered, threatened, and protected (ETP) species impacts
  3. Habitat
  4. Ecosystem

These scores help you quickly assess the performance of fisheries and their impact on the environment. For more detail on how these scores are calculated, head over to the FishSource website.

Smooth Scrolling for a User-Friendly Experience

To make navigating the updated table easier, we’ve added a handy scroll bar. When the FS Scores toggle is on, you can easily scroll right or left to see all the details without any hassle. It’s all about making your user experience as smooth and efficient as possible.

We hope these new features make your Seafood Metrics experience even better. As always, we’re here to support your commitment to sustainability and continuous improvement.
