What is it?

The Retail Soy Group (RSG) is an independent group of international retailers who work collaboratively to find industry-wide solutions to sourcing sustainable soy for their animal feed and human food supply chains, and therefore includes soy used in feed in both livestock and aquaculture supply chains.

The RSG was formed in 2013 to address a sector-wide gap in addressing the demand for sustainability-produced soya. The group is facilitated by sustainable commodity experts 3Keel Group Ltd.

Its focus is on:

  • Identifying and supporting clean suppliers;
  • Implementing regional approaches to address biome-level solutions;
  • Enhancing the credibility of certification standards; and,
  • Unlocking supply chains.

The RSG and its members also advocate on multiple issues, including those concerning deforestation-free supply chains and protection of the Amazon, as well as other issues such as the use of hazardous pesticides in soy production.
