Demonstrated Improvement
When SFP was first founded in 2006, we worked with stakeholders to establish, implement, and manage fishery improvement projects (FIPs), to demonstrate that FIPs worked and could lead to improvements in fishery management. As FIPs became more widely used, we shifted our focus to transferring FIP leadership to industry, and became less directly involved in implementation.
This Archive is a historical repository of FIPs and AIPs that SFP once directly supported. The profiles have been updated to the point when SFP stopped direct involvement.
The best resource for finding up-to-date information about active FIPs is FisheryProgress.org. Current AIPs can be found in the AIP Directory.
