What is it?
IUCN’s Red List of Ecosystems (RLE) is a global standard for assessing risks to ecosystems. It allows users to identify common symptoms (both spatial and functional) to understand the level of risk that an ecosystem is facing.
It is a global standard to assess the conservation status of ecosystems, applicable at local, national, regional, and global levels
Its database provides the location and descriptions of terrestrial, coastal, and marine ecosystems classified as Critically Endangered (CR), Endangered (EN), Vulnerable (VU), Near Threatened), Least Concern (LC), Data Deficient (DD), and Not Evaluated (NE).
How to use it?
Registered users can use the tool to identify potential ecosystems at risk in sourcing locations and identify opportunities for improvements.
