At the 15th annual Conservation Alliance for Seafood Solutions conference, which took place from October 21-23, 2025, in Waikoloa, Hawaii, SFP CEO Jim Cannon participated in two events:
- A session on “Worker/Community Voice Systems, Data, and Impact in the Seafood Sector: Tech Demo and Ecosystem Discussion
- A session called “Shaping the Future of FIPs: Lessons, Insights, and the Path Forward”
During the event, SFP and Ocean Outcomes (O2) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to advance sustainable fisheries and more responsible seafood supply chains through data-driven accountability and cross-sector collaboration. Under this collaboration, SFP and O2 will work to expand electronic monitoring, reduce bycatch in longline tuna fisheries, strengthen key seafood supply chains, and build capacity for small-scale fisheries, aligning science, markets, and management for healthier oceans.
