To coincide with the 2024 Blue Food Innovation Summit, SFP hosted a dialogue on innovative financing approaches to achieve large-scale environmental, economic, and social outcomes and impacts at The Farmers Club in London.

Pedro Moura, founder and CEO of Sustainable Investment Management (SIM), presented SIM’s Responsible Commodities Facility project, which provides low-cost financing to soy farmers helping to protect the Cerrado tropical savanna in Brazil.

Roland Bonney, executive chairman of AGROLO and co-founder of Benchmark Holdings plc, discussed his ongoing work to innovate and scale programs to help farmers deliver environmental benefits across entire landscapes and regions.

Blaine Grimes, chief ventures officer of the Gulf of Maine Research Institute, presented how GMRI works across various industry sectors to support ocean conservation work.
